PROGRAM MISSION AND VISION
Mission of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program
The mission of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program is to educate qualified health technicians who possess ethical values, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to technological advancements, while being equipped with sufficient knowledge and competencies in medical terminology and medical documentation to meet the needs of healthcare services.
Vision of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program
The vision of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program is to become a leading program in educating health technicians who are proficient in digital health systems, embrace teamwork, and meet national and international quality standards in healthcare services.
PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
PEO 1
To educate health technicians who can effectively and accurately perform medical documentation, patient registration, archiving, filing, correspondence techniques, and coding processes in compliance with relevant standards.
Objective 1.1
To provide knowledge of medical terminology, hospital information management systems, correspondence techniques, healthcare legislation, and documentation processes.
Objective 1.2
To develop practical skills in patient admission, registration, ICD coding, archiving, and hospital information management systems.
PEO 2
To educate health technicians who possess professional ethics, awareness of patient rights and confidentiality, effective communication skills, teamwork competence, and professional attitudes.
Objective 2.1
To develop awareness and behavioral competence regarding professional ethics and patient rights principles and practices.
Objective 2.2
To develop effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills with patients, patients’ relatives, and healthcare professionals.
Objective 2.3
To ensure continuous improvement in education.
PEO 3
To educate health technicians who follow technological and sectoral developments, engage in lifelong learning, and continuously improve their professional competencies.
